Yesteryears

What joy it is to reminisce

Of times gone by when life was bliss;

Though sometimes sad, yes even tears,

I’m thankful for my yesteryears.

It seems relief’s a thought away

When I’m reminded of a day

Where love from Daddy, Mama too,

Was all it took to get me through.

The constant daily life was fun

With hours spent out in the sun.

Yes, life was simple way back when, 

Out on the farm, so different then.

Now through the years so much has changed,

But one thing still remains the same-

No matter what may come and go

My yesteryears I still love so!
