The words that we,

put forth for others to see

can so often,

are so often interpreted as coming from our lives,

are so often interpreted as to be a part of our life,

are so often interpreted to be a happy

or sad

or frightful part of our lives.

The words that we that write poetry

put forth for others to see

so often lay open the pain of our lives,

the sadness of our lives,

the loving times of our lives,

the hateful times of our lives.

The words that we that write poetry

put forth for others to see

can and do lay open

the joy

the pain

the sorrow

the happiness

the essence of our souls…

the essence of our souls

is stripped open for the world to see

and sometimes..

sometimes…

Sometimes the words that we that write poetry

are just words.

Words that may rhyme

or words that may be freeline

or words that may inspire

or words to bring joy

or words to think by

or words to become impassioned by

and these words…

these words

may really be nothing more than words,
