Survivors Prayer
God help me recognize Your good gifts today
Even though others may have used them to harm me in the past;
The freedom to make my own choices, even when they are wrong,
The blessing of restoration to You and others
When I admit my weaknesses, my faults, and my failures;
The joy of knowing that You will never leave me
Even when I doubt You, grieve Your heart,
And misunderstand Your goodness.
By Your grace I will live beyond the pain of my past,
Learn to trust You in the moment every day,
And faithfully persist in my search for truth;
Knowing that it is truth—matured by grace
And tested by time that works in my heart
to transform my life, my character, and my spirit
into Your image of perfect love, joy, and peace.
