She could do nothing to please him
He never spoke a kind word
Nothing but scorn and degradation
The words I Love You would never be heard
Does she know she has a Father
Who is proud to call her His
Does she know He really loves her just for who she is
Seems like the memories are fading
Shadows of picnics in the park
He's learning to be a man without a teacher
Dad left the whole family when he and mom split apart

You may have lived with daily reminders that your birth was not planned
But God has breathed His very breath in you
And He formed you with His own hands Though at times you feel convicted by a jury of your peers

Thank you for sharing these words... I believe that there are times in everyone's lives when relationships on earth fail them for one reason or another. Knowing that there is a loving Father in Heaven who will ALWAYS be there is the only way to make it through. I have felt His arms around me at different times in my life and know that He truly is there...
