I can remember we as children, the laughter and as we played.

On Sundays, we all depended on you to pray.

When you started out your prayer with the words

“our Father,” those words gave such a ring that made

Mother sing out, “My Lord, my Lord.” Mother knew then

Th at one day her sonny would fulfi ll her dream.

We are all gathered here today to let you know that we

Are so proud to witness our mother’s dream today.

It seems not too long ago I can hear my mother sing

“this little light of mine”

I’m gonna let it shine

that light is you, sonny

Mother would always say, sonny is going to be a
