Remembering those days when we were together Playing in amusement, dancing, longing for each other Time was vividly true for the petals of love to gather But in laxity we lost in the crowd for once & forever
I never really cared for love’s sincerity Enveloped entirely in youth’s insanity Restless mind couldn’t see things in clarity Love came & gone leaving me with my vanity
Sun was promising, meadows were green Days was on efflorescence, nothing seemed lean In so many things of desire, love was just another thing I chased after the mirage as love died with broken wings
Now, the sun is dying, evening is already faded I’ve come out of my groove, completely jaded I’m feeling for the love that once I degraded Only to find the footprints of lost love, still strongly embedded.
Beautiful heartfelt poetry at its best. I'm glad that I decided to visit your den and give you a read. Thank you for reading my work and taking the time to leave a review.
