Behind the friendly smile

Inconsolable in my ranting
Wet, slimy reality dripping from your pores, you advance
Backing deeper into the gauze that surrounds my essence
I manage to avoid your talons of sound advice
Dodging, weaving my feet incased in your poison of truth
Your quiet soothing words ripping at my flesh
Your concerns ring out false, platitudes in colorful paper
I see you for what you are, monster of facts

Oh been there done that!! Resonates deeply, deeply...
If Sylvia Plath was still around, this could be one of hers...
You have a wonderful talent JoAnna...
