If I Catch a Star

A sweet poem...meant for a child...thought of making a book with it.

I could glide across the universe,

and grab an unknown star,

I can place it in my pocket,

and hold it in a jar.

I could let it out at night,

as it twinkles in my room,

sprinkling me with stardust,

and wiping away my gloom.

It could sleep upon my pillow,

all snuggled and safe,

it would sing me to sleep,

and warm my soft face.

Yes, if I did catch a star,

it'd be more special than me,

it'd always be smiling,

and I'd let it go free.

It is lovely Tab and I think it would make an excellant starting point for a childrens story book for sure.

You do write such sweet verses, Tabitha. These are truly delightful; they make me want to "be" there in that fantasy. Thank you for sharing. Love and best wishes to you,

Regis
