Sin of We Why must price of adventure, Be tainted purity of soul? Can not sacrificed morality, Be the quested goal? If indulgence is pursued, And wantonness demanded, Can not schemed seduction, Ignore principles abandoned? If conceit denies consequence, Conspires escape of blame, Can not complacency discarded, Be tithed with denied shame? Should not steadfast denial, And pursued leachery, Be awarded a karmatic pass? Be venerated sin achieved? If false promises were not made, Full deniability sustained, Can not deception be revered? The pretense be acclaimed? Should not lasciviousness, Be exempted hypocrisy? Can not sensuality attained, Transcend mediocrity? Should not a scarlet letter, Be reserved for the ashamed? Can not intended guile, Justify innocence slain? Should not heights achieved, Be obsession's own reward? Can not true selfishness, Be valued by what destroyed? Should not the sin of we, Be measured by what dared? Can not the sustained desire, Pretend abililty to care? Should not wayward thoughts, Compliment wayward deeds? Can not chosenl obsession, Be applauded when achieved? Should not our moments of we, Escape societal measure? Can not the depravity sought, Be condoned without censure? Should we not have been? Denied what our souls dared? Can not the gasps cherished, Validate the time shared? Should we not have chosen, Our moments to belong? Can not the paradise sought, Transcendl percieved wrongs? Should hearts not have surrendered, To the reality pretended? Can not consummated sin, Resonate the love intended? 143 - 4
