Complacency Breeds Contempt.

 

Complacency breeds contempt,

Rapture becomes mundane....

Attainment overwhelms attraction

Reality exposes shell game.

 

Bait and switch the surprise

Pheromones no longer effective

Fantasies without desire

Victims to a callous heart's directive.

Intense and your emotions ache in this one with a touch of anger and indignation but also a questioning of the whole aspect of love and relationships...very good Ms Beeds
