Your beautiful prayer aches with need and longing, Lisa. It is really difficult to feel that we have done the very best we can and have little to show for it. We wonder if our spiritual needs will ever be met, though we feel rather guilty asking for them when we have been granted so very much on a physical level; but hunger of the spirit is perhaps worse than hunger of the flesh and the freeze of lost loves perhaps greater than living in the icy Artic. Your poetry amazes me everytime I read you and I hunger for more when you are away and unable to post. Thank you for this gem, Lisa, you have filled my cup with your haunting and deeply meaningful prayer. May the angels hear your words and lift you upon their wings of golden to the place that where your prayers will be granted.

Lisa, I swear (forgive the expression) that your work reaches a higher level of spirituality with every new poem you write. This one is pure music to the weary soul and I can almost hear the harps playing along to it in song. Great stuff as always my dear friend and fellow poet.
