There's something volatile about

                Flowers & Foliage

For they remind me of Family, Friends, 

& sometimes, Lovers

of "bridgeably-challenged" political correctness.

Basically, botanists tell us that

Flowers & Foliage are void of personalities...

for they do not speak or share emotions.

But, I say, even to the untrained senses

of Nature-Lovers,

               Flowers & Foliage Speak.

Through Silent-Peace, springs vitality & life,

even if only for a Season.

All one has to do is listen & observe.

Roses grow on Bushes & with training,

climb, relentlessly, on trellises & stone walls.

Roses, one of the most beautiful flowers, grow

on a single stem & bursts forth with

enticing fragrance  & luscious colors.

Roses, grown commercially and merged with Foliage,

triple in price during nostalgic holiday seasons

& survive in fragile, crystal vases for about a week.

              Ever been in relationships when

                 Flowers & Foliage Speak?

              Ever been pricked by a Rose?
