An "understanding" between friends is sometimes not easy to understand.

Don't say that I'm the answer to your prayers,

'Cause I have so many unanswered one's of my own.

I can't be your all-consuming esteem booster,

because it's something that has to come from within you,

'Cause I'm still working on my own imperfections.

Yet,  we can share our unfinished-ness sometimes.

As our friendship goes, we can do it up just fine,

by sharing little things, and boundless dreams now and then.

We can be sounding boards for each other's plans,

and a kind thought or two after we part ain't bad,

But neither of us should be consumed in the bond-fire of  "too-much-too-soon,"

Because adding a whole lotta tinder, sparks good and burns red hot for awhile,

then gets smothered in gray ash disappointment...

the last thing I ever want to see in your eyes.

A MESSAGE OF '...DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU...! SOMETIMES BEING HONEST HURTS A LITTLE...BUT IT'S BETTER TO HURT A LITTLE IN THE BEGINNING...THAN BE DEVASTATED...IN THE END. WELL WRITTEN WITH A FINE DISPLAY OF YOU...BEING YOU. ENJOYED. THANKS FOR SHARING AND GOD BLESS. LOVE, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Beside Still Waters by Jill Eisnaugle

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
