BLACK CAT WE KNOW NOT WHAT IS IN THE MIND OF THE CAT WHO’S SKIN IS BLACK AND SMOOTH AS THE NIGHT THE STARING EYES DEFY CURIOSITY SEEING NOTHING BUT WHAT’S IN HER SIGHT WHAT IS THE PURPOSE BEHIND THAT SLINKY STRIDE THAT STIRS THE AIR WITH SUCH GRACEFUL SWEEPS IN PURPOSEFUL SOLITUDE SHE WALKS ALONE AND WITH DEEP SENSUAL THOUGHTS SHE SLEEPS THE SUPERSTITIONS BROUGHT FORTH BY THE OLD LORES ARE HONESTLY NOT THE TRUTHS OF SHE BUT THOUGH BAD LUCK MAY NOT BE IN HER MEANING LOVES IRONY IS HER MYSTERY *Sonia L.
