That Kiss.

Autumn 2003.

I know I remember that day, it's in my mind, it's there.
I know you cannot forget it either.
That day, remember, when you held me in your arms?
That day
That you and I had imagined so many times.
That day when you and I had realised our dreams
That day when the magic happened - that kiss!
I still cannot find enough words to describe it.
I wish I could put it in a box,
To show the world that wonderful bond of our lips.
I still remember, so clearly,
Your hands on my face,
I can still feel the strokes through my hair
I can still smell the scent of you.
Your heart beat, when you had me so close
The soft touches, of cheek to cheek,
Do you remember how tender, how softly our eyes had met?
And wouldn't you agree,
That it was magic that happened that one late spring day?
But it was the coming of our lips together I will never forget.
Never had I felt in a kiss
So much happiness, loneliness at the same time as love and lust,
That kiss was true ly magic,
That had summed up so perfectly,
The time you and I were apart for.
That kiss still means so much to me.
It symbolises so much love for me,
And if only life could have a button "re-play"
To repeat sensational moments... as our kiss was.
