Just some of the many things I see while passing time in the cafe.
BY THE BANNISTER a woman voraciously reads her newspaper if only her mocha and biscotti could last as long but they will be gone well before the last page on the other side a bald head leans back setting like a crewcut sun slipping comfortably below a wooden horizon

I like the last three lines the best, where the imagery really comes alive. And "crewcut sun"...? How brilliant is that? I like the rest too, but it's got a different flavor-- general, not specific, but it sets a great atmosphere. --Charlie
