Written July 17, 1981 because of the pervasive sense of loss.

Every thing is was.
Nothing is is.

Has been said,
Every thing is is.
What was was.
What is to be is to be.
Every thing is is.

But I say
Every thing is was.
Nothing is is.
Doubt is to be.
