My Favorite Food

I have a list of my favorite food
Although may not sound so very good

Why is it that my most delicious
Appears to be the least nutritious?

Like leftover pizza with sausage or ham
Oops, not healthy enough, let’s add some spam

Chicken, peas, and pickled pigs feet
Add a cup of molasses to make it sweet

Leftover spaghetti would be nice
But only with bubble gum and spice

I have a list of my least favorite food
Although it does sound very good

Why is it that mom’s most nutritious
Appears to be my least delicious?

Mom’s dinner let’s take a look
At what she’s decided to cook

Oh well, guess I have to settle
For mom’s chicken soup from the kettle

With her old fashioned steak and baked potatoes
And a large bowl  filled with salad and tomatoes
