When you remember me
I pray that you will remember my love
to be as true as the presence of the sun--
the intensity constant, ever-present.
Sometimes not as close and sometimes.
shrouded by cloudiness, but always there,
regardless of conditions.
Remember the times when my love, pride,
and joy in you radiates from my heart
and when my delight in you rings out
in laughter. And when your tenderness and
kindness brings tears to my eyes.
Remember also the clouds of misunderstandings
and of conflict--not to re-feel the pain but to
understand and to grow. And remember that
although these clouds may affect the warmth
we feel for a moment, the warmth of the source is not diminished. Remember it all, because without
every part, the whole would not be the same.
But most of all, remember that you are my greatest blessings of this earth, and I thank God for sending you to me.

To echo the others... Beautiful! Not having been blessed yet with children of my own, this poem made me think of my own mother. She is such a special person and I feel very blessed that God chose her for me. Marcyle, you have been given such a talent to express your feelings so wonderfully!
Such a flowing way of putting a mothers feelings into words! Not an easy task!

What a beautiful way of putting into words what ALL MOTHERS feel, but can not express ourselves as you have done in this poem. This is very meaningful to me since I have been given two beautiful granddaughters by my son and his wife and my daughter and her husband in the month of October.
