Very interesting discourse, but I can't say I enjoyed reading it. Not only are today's workforce earning less living wage than before, their options for pensions and retirement with security is dwindling as well.
I opted not to take the state pension 30 years ago and chose an optional tax-sheltered annuity for retirement. It worked well until the downturns of 1989, 2001, and 2009. I have since moved that money into a fixed annuity making 7+ percent per year. Our state pension has been cut several ways and my fellow employees were complaining about it.

A good article pointing out the perils of pension plans. From my meager experience, no one that I've known ever complained about their pension, probably because most lived far longer than they thought they would. As for pension plans being Ponzi schemes, I don't believe that's true. Criminal intent is not there. Criminal management, whether private or public, tends to creep in and has to be diligently watched for and prosecuted when found.
The problem of people living longer is rampant. Longer life is propped up with medical care that prolongs it. The escalation of medical care costs for the procedures that prolong life has compounded the whole situation. People that I know all want to retire before 62, but end up working past the current Social Security retirement age. The public will seems unable to fund its own retirement needs. Those that do, individually tend to be okay in retirement, regardless of the way these public or private pensions go. Most don't, and complain that they are being cheated when they didn't plan for their own needs.

A lot of creative thought went into this poem. Yes my friend, I would give this poem the highest rating, a TEN!
PS: I would just highlight and center the last line in the poem. For some reason it's at the left center and it's a different font. Other then that - I would give it an "A".

A wonderful poem with a great lesson. Unfortunately, throughout history, most kings have been vicious tyrants. Unfortunately, they kept their countrymen in the dark through illiteracy and wrote all those glorious stories about their goodwill and accomplishments rather than the atrocities they committed to remain king.
