“You will meet my demands, or your economy will suffer tremendously!”, the multi-billionaire Lee L. Lacker issued the warning to the U.S. Government that if they did not meet his demands, that he would donate part of his fortune to anyone who applied and went on strike, no matter where they worked or no what their field of work. He wanted freedom to no end, as his philosophy had always been, “Freedom is the only good!”
He aired commercials all over the nation, blatantly encouraging all workers to go on strike, and he kept his word that he would donate to anyone who had applied through his website, only when they qualified. He warned the public that not everyone would qualify, and that they should not go on strike unless they were approved. Many people enjoyed the benefits, and Lee made sure he mentioned in his disclaimer that he would only donate handsomely for up to two weeks until after the government gave into his demands.
What were his demands exactly? Well, he wanted to limit the government's power to the point that their only function would be to protect the American citizens from violence and coercion, and to ban any and all “Nanny laws”, laws that “protected you from yourself”. Lee had had enough! He wanted to enjoy smoking weed, he wanted to swim in the nude in all public places, and he didn't want to be told to wear his seat belt! He hated gender discrimination, as it never made sense to him how men could be shirtless, but women had to “cover up” their breasts. Everything irked him, as he was a Libertarian, while the government was pretty much an authoritarian state.
The government was initially annoyed by this multi-billionaire, who they were surprised didn't enjoy the tax loopholes and that he wasn't at all concerned with making more money. The government couldn't comprehend a multi-billionaire who was more concerned with the poor and their right to be heard! They, however initially blew it off, as they thought this would blow over.
Soon, the media raised concern as more than 20,000,000 people had already went on strike, even some of their own in the entertainment industry! The media tried to get people to go back to work through propaganda, stating that the economy would collapse, saying that in the end, even the multi-billionaire, Lee L. Lacker would run out of money himself, especially if too many Americans applied for the on strike donations.
Mr. Lacker had made a new commercial denouncing this lie, and he exposed the news media for what it really is, just propaganda and it was only for entertainment! He showed examples between the difference of a whole report, versus only the parts they wanted the citizens to see. He showed clips, and he told the audience what the elipseses were for; basically an ellipses, as used by the news media, was to shortern a larger statement, to make only part of the statement known. To read the whole statement, before and after the only parts that the news showed would open the eyes of the rest of the world, which he had shown a brief moment worth of examples, which set off a chain-reaction, where the number of applications doubled to more than 40,000,000 people! Oh, were the news agencies and the government pissed-off! Even with this many applicants, Lee still had several billions of dollars, not even putting a dent in his own pocket! Communities were struggling to provide goods and services, while Lee L, Lacker also provided his applicants with resources that they could not find or afford in their own communities, due to the strikes.
The government soon began to worry, as over 98,000,000 people had gone on strike across the nation, still only leaving Lee with over 2,000,000,000 dollars. They started to negotiate with Lee, but Lee was autistic, he was born with Asperger Syndrome, so he had a lack of empathy, so he would not compromise, nor would he negotiate anything other than “no exceptions” in a constitutional amendment that would forbid the government from interfering with the lives of it's people, just long as the people did not interfere with another person's right to enjoy their own lives! He wanted a Libertarian Constitutional Amendment, to limit the government's role to only protect the people from coercion or violence. That would mean the citizens could do anything they wanted, as long as they did not interfere with any other citizens' rights to do the same!
The government did try to negotiate terms that would be less restrictive than what he had asked for, but he wouldn't budge. He told the government, “I will accept no exceptions! Either give me what I want, in it's entirety, or I will keep gathering more applicants!”
When the strike had hit 100,000,000 people, the U.S. Government was facing a permanent shut-down! They tried to negotiate with him one more time, but it had failed... The government gave in, and many government agencies were cut, such as the FCC, the IRS, the DEA and ONDCP, the NSA, and many other Federal agencies! Many jobs and businesses were lost, especially government jobs.
Lee L. Lacker finally won! And now his applicants had two weeks to either go back to their jobs, to find a new job, or even to start their own business or to seek unemployment benefits. But our country was free, once again.
