     Emma

So soft, so very warm
I hold your small body
your face under my chin
the rumblings against my neck tranquilizing
you rub my chin
with your face
grass-green eyes blink
full of nothing but love and contentment
Emma
small cat
miracle with the white lightning bolt on your forehead
the Wakinyan have left their mark
Halloween cream guzzler
special girl

(I will rest and say "thank you" to the creator for the good day and the good cat.)

Cats aren't good--just good at not getting caught. I know, I have one of the monsters, or rather, he has me. The thing about cats is, they were worshipped as gods for thousands of years ... and they still remember:) Good post by the way. I like the Native American perspective that seeped in. And the prose definitely captures a bonding moment, freezing it in time.

I like this poetic expression of a love for your small cat...I especially like the last two lines and translation...

very nice work...
