This week, Studio Reader Stan pays another visit to Mr. Gold, the executive at Quality Studios.
Studio Reader Stan enters Mr. Gold’s office.
Mr. Gold: Studio Reader Stan, today’s your lucky day.
Studio Reader Stan: Why, you’re going to start calling me by my real name, Larry?
Mr. Gold: Sorry, I didn’t hear you. I choose not to listen to most of what you say, seeing as how you’re beneath me and all.
Studio Reader Stan: Has the lucky part started yet?
Mr. Gold: Studio Reader Stan, I want to utilize your writing abilities.
Studio Reader Stan: Really? You’re telling me you actually want to make a movie with my name on it?
Mr. Gold: Not exactly.
Studio Reader Stan: A TV show?
Mr. Gold: Nope.
Studio Reader Stan: Dinner theatre?
Mr. Gold: Still no.
Studio Reader Stan: An Internet short?
Mr. Gold: Nada.
Studio Reader Stan: Is whatever it is something that actual real-life people will be able to watch somewhere?
Mr. Gold: Negatory, Studio Reader Stan. It’s for me only.
Studio Reader Stan: I’m not following.
Mr. Gold: It’s simple. I want you to construct a sentence that will convey my carnal interest towards my new receptionist, without getting me sued for sexual harassment.
Studio Reader Stan: I preferred this conversation when I wasn’t following.
Mr. Gold: And it’d be nice if it rhymed. Women love poetry.
Studio Reader Stan leaves, saddened by another useless encounter with Mr. Gold.
Tune in next week for more of Studio Reader Stan's adventures...
