One glorious spring morning as the sun was beginning to rise God beckoned one of his favorite angels. This angel^s name was Inspiration. Inspiration quickly responded, "How may I serve you my Lord."
God smiled and said, "I want to create a person who can change the world, who can bring forth light, who can help all of my children reach their highest potential." "Can you help me create this person?"
Inspiration thought for a moment and said, "I have a spectacular idea. I will assemble the greatest angels in the heavens. I will ask each angel to bestow a gift to help create this amazing being." God was delighted with the idea and gave Inspiration permission to begin receiving gifts from the angels. Inspiration called upon each angel and assembled them all; one by one each stepped forward. They introduced themselves and shared the gift they would be granting to God^s newest creation.
I am the Angel Vision I will provide the gift of eyes to see the beautiful spirit in each little soul.
I am the Angel Guidance and I will give the gift of conscience by imparting a sense of right and wrong.
I am the Angel Wisdom and I will bestow the gift of wonder so each moment in life filled with awe.
I am the Angel Acceptance and I will give the gift of unconditional love to fully acknowledge each child^s individuality.
I am the Angel Service and I will impart the gift of strength so that this creation will be able to do the work of 10.
I am the Angel Support and I will provide strong arms to give comforting hugs.
I am the Angel Faith and I will bestow the gift of tradition so that the sacred rituals and ceremonies can be passed from generation to generation.
I am the Angel Sweetness and I will grant the gift of patience so that each child can develop at their own pace.
I am the Angel Tenderness and I will give the gift of healing so that any boo-boos can be healed with a gentle kiss.
I am the Angel Affection and I will provide the gift of an enormous heart that can send light and love throughout the universe.
When Inspiration had gathered all of the gifts she brought them to God. God was very pleased with the divine pieces he now had to create his majestic being. Inspiration and God worked very hard that day, aligning all of the gifts in perfect balance.
When they were finished they stood back and marveled at what they had created. Inspiration looked at God and said, "She is magnificent, but what should we call her?" God beamed with delight and said, "We will call her mom. And from this day forward anyone who can change the world, who can bring forth light, who can help all of my children reach their highest potential will be known as a mom" That day the heavens rejoiced because God had graced the earth with the most amazing of creations, moms.
