After evading aggressive FBI agents led by the antagonistic Misty Frost in a dramatic vertical takeoff, the trio shares explicit sexual encounters mid-flight while Payne briefs Ash on the case and her own psychic connection to the mystery.

As they approach a remote landing site at Crimson Lake, Montana, a distress call from Payne’s partner Morbia Indigo signals an attack by an unknown armored “thing.” The Raven is struck by an electromagnetic pulse, systems fail, and the aircraft crash-lands on the crimson waters—setting up the next episode.
