'Saiyan was falling, his eyes were closed. His petal staff held tightly in his hand, and his Esther Shield broken. He had performed the same move he used to save Sandra that day when she fell off the Redwing, and this time, it was Justra he had saved.
"Saiyan!" he screamed. He wanted to fly over there, but a great tail had suddenly wrapped itself around him, like a viper constricting a rodent, and prevented him from moving. "Saiyan!"
Watching helplessly, Justra began to feel hot tears cascade down his cheeks. Just as he thought his friend was about to crash and die, he saw someone else run into the picture.
It was Sandra. Gracelessly, she caught Saiyan in her arms, and sobbed hard in relief.
The sadness and fear of losing his friend slowly went away, and Justra became aware of his inabilty to breathe, and the hot smell of death behind him. Rage kicked in. His mana swelled.
"Ryden, Arrow Bomb!" he cried. His golden bow, which had fallen into the hands of Kentaro's fiend when the ice-bridge Saiyan made was destroyed, forced its way out of the freak's hand. An arrow loaded itself onto the bowstring.
Miraculously, the Ryden Bow, without anyone controlling it, fired a perfect, flawleess Arrow Bomb.
It blasted the creature's left shoulder, causing it to howl loudly.
It howled even louder when Justra's glowing wings forced themselves to spread apart, splitting and slicing the monster's tail into several large bits. The fiend's great jaws remained open, and it headed for Justra, who didn't move.
"Booster! Lucky Seven!" came Deathstrike's strained voice.
A total of eight pairs of Kumbi stars cut through the air, heading straight for the monster's open mouth.'
