Eagle Harbor

Not rated by the Author.

     Where I grew up

corrugated silence, a summer afternoon

lake dressed in rippled calls

one blue wave walking,

        than another.

small boats mark horizons

their sheets crackle beneath the heat,

circular sun coast a faultless sky.

July celebrates this childhood harbor,

opens  bunched canvases,

painted over a million times.
