Sure it’s never easy to understand the ways of mystic and wonder
I got up out of bed to have a cup of tea as I couldn’t sleep . My body was sore from the hard work I did during the day . It was hard walking down the stairs with some muscles around mt body . When I got to the kitchen I had to sit down for a moment as I my feet were sore and I couldn’t stand anymore .
After a few minutes I made myself a cup of tea . Suddenly out of the kitchen cupboard jumped a little fairy with black shiny shoes and in a velvet green suit ,
Standing there on the kitchen table clam as could be he said ,
With a lilt in his voice .
’What has you up at this time of the night , when every other man , woman and child are fast asleep in their beds ?”
I took a deep breath and replied ,
“I can’t sleep and I thought a cup of tea might be a good idea “
“Well now , sure aren’t you the lucky one . I’m just thew one who can help you with that, as you see I am the magic tea fairy and I just happened to be here tonight in your house visiting some friends who live nearby . So, you go out there now and sit yourself down and turn on the TV , hoping there’s something that is worth watching and try to relax while I make you a cup of magic fairy tea .”
So, I went to the living room and sat down in front of the tv and stared at whatever was on . Out from the book case jumped another fairy with a yellow suit and black shiny boots and he said ,
,
“What has you up out of bed watching TV at this time of night ?”
Then says I ,
“Well, I can’t get to sleep and so I thought I get up for a while and watch the TV as it always helps me to relax “
The fairy replied.
‘Well now aren’t you the lucky one . You see I’m the Storytelling fairy so I’ll tell you what , forget that TV set and let me pick us a book and I’ll tell you a story that’s worth listening too “
I replied
“ You know what , you’re probably right ,. There’s never anything on TV at this time of night . “
Then the fairy from the kitchen arrived with a pot of magic fairy tea and said ,
“Well look who we have here , the fairy with the golden voice “
And the reply came ,
“Ah sure enough , now it looks as if we’re going to have a tea party here tonight .
Well, I hope there’s enough tea in that pot for the three of us ?”
The magic tea fairy replied ,
“This tea pot is a magic tea pot that refills itself when it’s empty so there’s always enough tea to go around “
At that moment another fairy jumped out from the top shelf on the hall cabinet . He wore a red suit with shiny black shoes and a tall top hat . He was holding a bottle of whiskey in his hand and he said ,
“Sure, tell me did I hear someone say there’ll be some drinking and stories here tonight ?”
The magic tea fairy replied .
“For your information its tea we’ll be drinking and not whiskey .”
The storytelling fairy said ,
“And yes, we’ll be having a story here tonight ?”
“If it’s all right with you, I’d like to stay for the story buy to be fair to myself I’ll skip the tea and stick to a drop of the creature itself that I have brought in this here bottle that I keep on the shelf of the hall cabinet . I always like to be sure to have a decent drop on hand for moments like this “
“Well, you can have one for me but I’ll have some magic tea “
Said the magic tea fairy .
The other fairy replied ,
“That’s fine with me “
“ I was giving tea and whiskey by both of them and proceed to drink them both .At that moment three fairies jumped out from the fireplace wearing blue suits and black shiny shoes and they said ,
“Did someone just say there’ll be whiskey , tea and stories happening tonight “
“You heard right “
Came the reply then the three fairies from the fireplace said with a jolly tone ,
“Sure, there’s nothing better than good company during these winter nights and we’ve brought a little warmth with us to heat up the cold house as we saw there’s no fire lit tonight “
I had to apologize saying ,
“Well, I’ve been going through some hard times lately and I couldn’t afford any firewood this month . I have an electric heater but that’s too expensive to turn on and I rather be foundered than stressed about paying the electric bill “
“At that moment the fairies from the fireplace started to dance around in a circle and the flames leapt up in the hearth . In a few seconds there was a roaring fire burning. The storyteller started to tell the story about the very first winter time when it snowed for a month and the temperature was 20 degrees below .zero and the very first creatures arrived on the earth . They were a tribe of fluffy friendly creatures called The Chilblains who enjoyed the cold weather , they always loved to shiver and they liked to play in the snow but it always made their fur go from white to bright red .
They shivered and they quivered all through the winter and when spring came, they went into hibernation until the cold weather returned .

The story was so good , it put me fast asleep in the chair and when I woke up, I was sitting there alone . Thinking it was all just a dream I looked around the room and to my surprise I saw that there were ashes in the fireplace . .
The house didn’t feel cold and then I realised that all the pain I had in my body had left . I felt rejuvenated and ready for another days work .
He got up and put the kettle on to make a cup of tea and sitting there was a small pot with a note attached.
“ Magic Tea just for you . When you’re unwell this will soon make you feel better “
I put it away in the cupboard and thought to myself .
“Aye sure enough you just never know what goes on half the time around here and to be honest that’s just the way I like It “
