At 3 am in the late summer morning Jack awoke to the sound of voices in the night coming from his living room! Fear of home invaders filled Jacks head as heart pounded. Jack grabbed his walker and rose out of bead at sat down in the wheelchair. He wheeled into the living room and turned on the light an saw where the voices where coming from his Baofeng HAM Radio transceiver was warning that the battery was running low. Relived that it was his radio Jack popped a couple Gabapentin capsules and a few shots of Jose Cuervo to relax.

He went back too rewatch 2001 A Space Odyssey on his laptop and slowing went in a borderline sleep-wakefulness. Jack met the monolith which had been signaling him trough his HAM Radio! Jack entered the Stargate to sound of Also Spoke Zarathrustra and symbols from Zorasterism, Buddhism and Vodun appeared in flashing psychedelic lights. Jack then found himself in a classy hotel room that looked large and expensive. A sense of deja vue filled Jack as he realized that he was guest in The Overlook Hotel from the Shining!

Jack realized that a replica of the Overlook Hotel that bult in a space station orbiting Earth. He decided he needed some more Tequila and headed to the hotel bar. The first large room of the bar was filled with the characters of the Shining movie where I had a couple drinks with Jack Nicholson and Stephen King and commented on how much it was like the movie.

Jack into the next room of the bar and it was the Mos Eisely bar from Star Wars! I waded through the alien crowd carefully avoiding any accidents that might get me killed. I walked up to the bar and as ordered margaritas I realized that the bartender was H.G. Wells! Wells told me “Jack the drinks are on the house because you are THE CARETAKER! Wells warned me to watch out for Morlocks and Martians on my way back to the room.

On my way back to the room I was attacked by white furry Morlocks with red eyes and I hacked them to pieces with an axe I found on the way. Back at my room I chugged some Patron Tequila and saw squid like tentacles from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea attacking me as I grabbed the axe like Ned the Harpooner and chopped them in pieces. I them realized that alone in the room being attacked by tentacled Martians from Well’s War of the Worlds as I chopped their tentacles off. I came to into my wheelchair hearing the voice of Orson Welles wishing a happy Halloween.
