When The Gods Smile Sardonically o When you park your car at a 100,000-seat football stadium and you have lost the ticket stub on which you have written the parking location. o When you have forgotten your wedding anniversary… again. o When you notice you have been walking around with your zipper half down all day. o When your briefcase snaps opens as you are getting out of your car and your expense reports spill out on a wet driveway. o When, after a twenty minute mad dash to an airport gate, you discover you have left your airplane ticket in the first plane of a two plane connecting flight and the connecting flight is now in final boarding. o When your credit card is rejected at a business dinner with your president and the companies biggest target client. o When your son borrows your new Lexus and calls to tell you he can’t find your insurance card in the glove compartment o When your cell phone rings in your topcoat pocket and the coat is hanging on the rack at the back of the church. o When your assigned theatre seat for a sold out play is behind a very large person and you are totally unable to see. o When you are stuck in a thirty-nine dollar hotel room with paper-thin walls next to an acrobatic, vocal couple still active at three in the morning. o When you take the kids to the shore for ten days and it rains for nine days. o When you go for your honeymoon cruise and your wife is miserably seasick. o When a passing truck covers your windshield with three inches of dirty snow and you are driving blind on an expressway. o When you lose a contact lens away from home on the weekend.
