You are right with most of your concerns. But there is something we can do. Our fellow author, Ed Phillips, has written very clear articles on what we can and should do.
We can do our banking with credit unions and not large corporate banks. If we invest, we should only do so in small, emerging companies and not in the blue-chip corporations. We should also not shop at the large monopolistic corporations like Walmart, Amazon, etc. Buy outlandish brand names for vanity. Eat fast food rather than buying fresh food and cooking it. Support young, uncorrupted candidates for office. Unfortunately, while many Americans complain like you and then go about bad behavior like "sheeple," we deserve what we get.
