Sara dialed the last of the three possible phone numbers the operator had given her. Please let this be it. The phone rang a fourth time.
"Hello," a husky voice answered.
Sara's heart sank.
"Is Jinnifer there?" She was ready to hang up the phone. There was no respones. Sara stopped short of disconnecting the line just in time to hear Jennifer's familiar, quiet voice.
"Hello."
"Yeesss!" Sara screeched with unbridled delight. "Oh, Jennifer, I thought I wasn't going to find you this time."
"Hi! I know it." answered her friend, anxiously. "I was getting a little worried myself. I lost my address
book--again. Sorry Sara."
"Say, when are you going to settle someplace for more than three months at a stretch?" Sara chided playfully.
"Well,. . ."
"That doesn't matter now, anyway." Sara interrupted. "Listen Jen, my brother Carl is actually getting married just outside Los Angeles this Sunday! I told him we would be there together come Hell or high water, if I could find you. I know it's only five days away, but I've been trying to reach you for a month. I checked into it, and there is bus service
