Unfortunately, I've had to remove this story for a rewrite. I've been given the thumbs up for it to be made into a movie and am working on the screenplay. Thank you to all who took the time to read it and to offer responses.

OMG chanti, this brought tears to my eyes too. True love is such a wonderful thing, I hope to experience one day. You did a very fine job of writing this from memory. And that matriarch elephant now roams with the soul of Ingrid on her back. And I bet to this day, if anyone were to approach this elephant in a non-aggressive manner, they would be met by a friend. Tell Vince he should name this matriarch Ingrid, to honor not only the ashes and the elephant, but Ingrid's soul too, cause she loved this particular matriarch.
