Mischa Broom: Studio Reader Stan, I’m really excited. I’ve got the perfect thing for you.
Studio Reader Stan: Does it involve me helping you clean out your garage again?
Mischa Broom: Don’t be ridiculous. The garage won’t need cleaning for another three months. Keep your calendar clear.
Studio Reader Stan: I’m sure I will. So what’s this perfect thing?
Mischa Broom: Kids TV. I just met up with an old college friend who actually has kids – and guess what? They watch TV all day long. Who even knew there was TV for kids?
Studio Reader Stan: I did. And I asked you to look into it six months ago.
Mischa Broom: And now I have. See how lucky you are to have me?
Studio Reader Stan: So you’re actually going to make calls on my behalf and try to get me actual meetings?
Mischa Broom: You got it.
Studio Reader Stan: Wow. This is great. Thank you. I finally have something positive to look forward to.
Mischa Broom: I had someone fax over the info on what writing for kids TV pays. Let me just crunch these numbers.
She takes out a calculator and punches in numbers while looking at the fax.
Mischa Broom: Uh huh… Uh huh… All right, there’s no money in kids TV for me. I’m out.
Studio Reader Stan: What? You’re not doing it anymore?
Mischa Broom: You got anything with mountain-side yodelers or cavemen in it? Both of those are really hot right now.
Studio Reader Stan fights off an urge to weep uncontrollably.
