Author's note:  I am making a statement here in the defense of good men out there.  I have a few men who are tracking me and reviewing me on authorsden and I want to express my gratitude that men are even reading what I have to say.  So in a reciprocal fashion, I am offering this quote from The Buckskin Skirt Oar Traveler.

     Here's where the psychology of it starts: at eight years old from the ground up; toe-fishing psychology.  There are good fathers out there in modern-day society who are single-parenting successfully and who provide balanced nutrition, financial and emotional support, knowledge, and spiritual guidance for their children."

     Of topmost importance are the fathers Tom Henry and Joe Cloud cast for the two characters, the Buckskin Skirt Oar Traveler and Fringe Water Many Bosom.  Ancient society and modern-day society have had and have a crucial need for the role models as fathers with an iron constitution who spend time teaching their daughters the ways of life and survival skills to take us as far as we can go in our journey on this plane of life."
