Stone Creek Woman

     Derived and refined from God's nature of trees, breakfast is composed of sourdough pancakes topped with birch syrup, hickory-smoked salmon omelets, campfire coffee perked with plumwood embers, and boiled juniper-spring tea potent enough to flush out the city toxins.

     Stone Creek Woman tells the women it is their day of leisure, as all of their remaining days will be.  "This is not churchcamp.  You came here to heal emotions and establish your own spiritual link to nature.  Talk to me, talk amongst yourselves, talk to God, talk to yourself, and talk to nature.  We can re-create the feeling of gentler times," Stone Creek Woman says.

     With her quill-beaded, buckskin gloves protecting her hands from the porcupine barbs, Stone Creek Woman pulls the quills from the porcupine with her needle-nose jewelry pliers.

     Quillworking has nearly disappeared from the cultural loom, because of the invention of glass beads at the end of the 19th century.  A handful of quill artists like Stone Creek Woman keep it alive to preserve the ancient Native American decorating technique.

     Stone Creek Woman transforms the quills into decorative and protective armor, making it a healing "point" to show her groups of women how to remove old barbs, no matter how painful, so they do not continue to fester and poison the system.

     Stone Creek Woman tells the women that a healthy adult porcupine has as many as 30,000 quills in its pelage and the quills are hollow, making the porcupine buoyant in water, likening it to floating women to shore, as opposed to sinking and drowning in the murky waters.

     Stone Creek Woman embraces the lovely CopperJade from behind, wrapping her arms around CopperJade's soft pelvis, kissing the tender of her neck, while staring provocatively at the group, intentionally making direct eye contact with each woman, and deliberately flaunting lesbian sentiment.  "I love this woman.  It is from this emotion that I offer the vision to see alternate possibilities for healthy, personal relationships.  It is not my intention to change your sexual preference, but rather to open pathways of healing alternatives.  It is my belief, a woman's spirit in need of repair cries out for another woman, in solitude, in God's natural surroundings."
