I have a job that requires me to work a schedueld that allows me to be off for 3 and 4 days consecutively, that's right!!!!! Every other weekend is a three or 4 day weekend, in the real outside world as I recall, a 3 day weekend was only possible if a world figure in history had died or if management offered a human sacrafice! But now I have a three day weekend or better, every other week ( hey, I know some of you may be jealous, but like "they" say don't hate the player, hate the game, and yes I know the quote has nothing to do with my situation, but I'll never be a player and I will never have a chance to use the quote otherwise, anyway) ... I was mentioning the 3 and 4 consecutive days off, I love this perk ... it allows me to have time to do things I would otherwise not have a chance to do, and I would absolutely take advantage of the time off and do some of those things, if I were more disciplined! Ok, right like that will ever happen, NOT! I realize I have moments that I could read, write, take in the sights and sounds of the metro area, spend time with the people that matter most,adopt a cause, learn a trade, go to school, essentially do all those things that so many other people would swear they would do if they had my schedueld.
Recently the porpunderence of days gone by,the lost potential
of all I could have accomplished, and now having gained a insightful prespective of who I am, realizing that I had to take stock of myself and move in a more positive direction. I've decided to make a real effort to start being more productive, proactive, and constructive, ( ok, ok ... there's no woman in my life, at the
moment... at least not with me, comon'laides call me ,I'm gemini, 6ft, 230 pounds, therapy is going well.. the twitch is bearly noticeable, and I can get out more often, now that I'm driving again) Hmmm it sounded so much better when I tried to say I had a epiphany) anyway I have written a list of things to do or things I would like to do and I've begun to notice one inescapable
fact, and I wonder is it just me?
Have you ever noticed, no matter how well you plan, no matter what the weather, no matter the economic comittment to the effort, or where you're going... just as the moment arrives to leave, walk out the door, while all watches are synchronized, ETA is calculated, routes have been scouted, back up plan in hand,you have the first and second set of car keys, your cell phone is fully charged, the pets are feed and have been walked, hey you even have a roll of quarters (just in case), the TV, the lights, the stove,iron,coffee pot are all turned off, all the doors are locked,the thermostate is set,dishes are washed,clothes are folded and put away, floors are vacuumed, all systems check! All you have to do now is set security system,... okkkk that's done and just as you walk toward the door, it happens .... Oh no ... maybe you can wait...oh no ... not now, Oh yes my friend...now ...indeed. You have to take a crap. That's right I know you know what I'm talking about, we've all
been there, right, and we think what is this????...Now???
I think before every cruciel moment in history, every great act,any decision, with the fate of mankind hanging in the balance, more than a few of the people involved and critical to the process no doubt had to take a crap, right before the moment arrived.
