Abandoned Life ~ Autobiography: Part Ten:

Pig Farming Humorous Moments: “Flat On My Face"

One morning on one of Tinka’s Pig-food missions at the restaurant called "Look Out Beach" she lost it again and got caught up in her fantasy world as she listened to some sad love songs on her car cassette radio getting carried away; daydreaming as usual.

She needed to know if she was nuts, loosing it completely or just plain stupid; too much in love with her Micky that she could not think straight.  Tinka had the habit of playing music quite loud in her car.  She reaches to turn the volume up, as if on auto - pilot, the moment she starts the car up to go.  Then she gets lost in thought, carried away to very, very far places; into the love of her life's territory leaving about 1% of her concentration on her driving.  Seems the emotional state of her mind just goes for it knowing she will wet herself for her own stupidity later.

On this particular trip to get pig-food her friend Inez went with her to keep her company.  Inez having no car could hitch a ride into town and by going with Tinka who made the pig-food run everyday of her life.  Inez waited for Tinka in the car, singing along to a tune that was on her portable cassette player.  When Tinka stepped back into the car she reached out to the radio to turn the volume up to hear the song.

To their delight Tinka realized what she was trying to do, to turn her friend’s volume up.  She pulled her hand back so fast it looked like something that was bit by a spider.  Inez asked Tinka what was wrong and as she told her they both enjoyed a teary-eyed laugh as people in the street stopped to look at these silly out of place woman laughing their heads off.  Tinka almost wet herself and that set them of to the next laughing trip like teenagers on their first date, giggling and when they look at each other they just start all over again, knowing that it could be insanity too.  They were laughing so much it changed into a cry of joy for their stupidity.  It was wonderful, being both crazy for music, and crazy to know there is someone 5% crazier than the other.

Tinka knew that Micky was to be blamed for her crazy state of madness.  She asked Inez,  tears in her eyes but with pants still dry, “Am I nuts or crazy or maybe too much in love with some fantasy that brings me joy”? They went home and with smiles of joy on their faces drove in silence.

Another not so happy event awaited Tinka back home…this time not from the one expected but from her own making, flat on her face she would fall, what a disgrace.  She embraced mother earth as the eight, twenty-five gallon bins that were filled to their brims with bread rolls, pies and what have you hit the ground with her.

Soaked in water and covered in pig food she laid.  No pig could ever resist the smell of food.  Not even those two legged ones in Tinka’s life.  Their intentions no so good the pigs started to gather around, that’s when her face hit the ground trying to chase the demons away she went overboard like a bird flying with legs high.

Now a sad case as her face hit the ground with a sound like chimes in crime it did sound kind; head spinning eyes blind.  She was very pissed off… yelling out her annoyance, her glasses almost to pieces and her face cut in many places.  Blood was running freely as did the tears, trying to save the day.  All bruised and sore, and embarrassed like hell and for what?  Pigs did not know or see the humor in it or laugh nor did they try their luck again.

Ouch, interesting and though it must have hurt getting the cuts and bruises of your fall, I can see the non-humour in it too.
