Then I had trouble deleting the chat box, which was strange...It had...

(Note:  Nobody is going to believe this, but it’s true ! I was chatting with a friend and we somehow lost connection.  Then I had trouble deleting the chat box, which was strange. It had never happened before. Then, lo and behold, this person started a new chat. It was Elvis, to whom I’d written a letter last year! Unfortunately, I could manage to print only part of the chat we had but, my, what an experience! I want to share that part with my readers.  I’ll never be the same again! Hope you like it.)

R: Who is this?

EtheP: Randy, my man, it’s me. Remember the letter?

R: Letter. What letter? Who are you interrupting like this…

EtheP: This is Elvis. The real Elvis. You wrote me a letter last year. Remember?  I got a copy right here.

R: Yeah, you’re Elvis. Nice to meet you. I’m Einstein.

EtheP:  No foolin’ man. I know you don’t think these things can happen, but, you know, where I live…all things are possible.

R: Oh, you did make it!

EtheP: I did, but don’t think it was easy, Randy my man. It’s a lot harder than folks think.

R: Is it the heart?

EtheP: You've hit it Randy my man. That's it. That old heart's gotta be fine-tuned more than you ever imagined. If it's not, folks can hang it up...

But I was lucky and it was well worth it. And my heart of hearts is here with me.

R: (swallows) Now that’s nice. I always thought she would be there. Your mom was special in her own way.

EtheP: Still is, and I love her endlessly. We’re very very happy. Anyway, about the letter. Let me take this opportunity to say thanks a million. It was really kind of you. I’m glad you like that DVD.

R: Oh, I love it. I put it on and write while listening. Glancing occasionally.

Never mind the letter. It was just a caprice. I don’t think a lot of people cared much for it.

EtheP: Don’t worry too much Randy man. You just keep on doing what you’re doing. By the way, there were some great comments here. One comment up here is worth bucketsful down there. Agree?

R: Elvis! Surely you don’t mean…I mean…you know…that He made a comment.

EtheP: It wasn’t words. It was His look. That said it all. He don’t talk much. Don’t need to. We all understand immediately.

R: Elvis, do you miss…I mean, what do you miss from down here? Or can I ask?

EtheP: Absolutely nothing. And it’s a relief! Lisa and Pris I can see every day all day. So, what else would a guy want?

R: I guess being able to see down here and all, you know that you still make money and are…hot…I guess they say…hot property...

(Note: This is where the contact went sour again. He didn’t come back nor did anyone else interrupt, but you can see what I mean.  I still haven’t got over the experience. Sometimes it makes me think I’m headed for the halfway house or something and that would be awful!)

End of “Earth-Shattering Chat With the Pelvis”

(Thanks to AD’s David Arthur Walters for the idea.)

Elvis is the ghost in the machine. That is earth shattering. Entertaining read.

Wow! Hadn't heard of anyone having contact with the King in a while...you know how Elvis always proclaimed his Christianity and his love for gospel music, I was watching a documentary a few weeks ago about his life, and I had a thought...wouldn't it be great to get to heaven and find the king, right there with the KING! Just a thought! I did enjoy this write my friend...be careful someone will snatch this story up...and the next thing you know it'll be on the cover of the Enquirer! Enjoyed!

That is interesting conversation. Sometimes, lines can be crossed. I talked with my dad on the phones twice after his death, but only in my dreams. However, his voice was so loud and so cleared for a moment in my dreams I thought he was still alive and was calling me from his home.

Sometimes, the paranormal things do happen.

Thank you for sharing this, Randy!!!

This is exciting news for the Elvos fans. They'll run and scream He's alive...he's really alive! Great idea and very creative.
