Late autumn rain fell in a gentle mist as fog settled among the pine and fir boughs. Inside the secluded log cabin, a warm fire crackled in the huge stone fireplace. Without electricity the cabin’s interior was lit only by the fire and two oil lamps atop the massive oak mantle.
They lay upon a rug before the flames, naked of clothing. Slowly, sensuously, they explored unhurriedly with their tongues, caressing one another with their bodies, stretching luxuriously with the ministrations of their partner. So involved with one another were they that neither heard the steps on the rustic porch, only the turning of a knob followed by the protest of the hinges as the door swung open. Startled they jerked apart and leapt to their feet, hearts pounding and eyes open wide as they confronted the intruder.
But they knew him, and he’d brought them dinner! So they rushed to greet him with happy exclamations of “Meow!”
