The Chicken Or The Egg

      Inquiry: The purpose of this inquiry is to examine the riddle “Which Came First; The Chicken Or The Egg?” and to solve the riddle.

Definitions: Chicken: A domesticated fowl of the genus(Gallus gallus). Consisting of hens(females); roosters (males); and chicks (young males and female). Chickens produce their offspring by matings between hens and roosters. After mating the hens lay fertilized eggs. The eggs contain the developing embryos in a nutrient called the egg yolk. The yolk is surrounded by an essential supporting fluid called egg white. Both are encased in a hard membrane (skin) called a shell(egg shell). The embryos develop into immature chickens (chicks) and use their  beaks to emerge from the shells. Chicks have eyes, appendages for ears(hearing), legs, feet, nostrils, feathers, etc.. They have a beak like mouth for ingesting the food and water, which they need, in order to grow into adult chickens. Chickens are  warm blooded animals classified as birds.  Chickens cannot fly.  However, they do have vestigial wings  which they flap when aroused, excited, and or agitated. Chickens feed on insects, berries, grass shoots, fruits, nuts, grains and almost everything that is edible.

Eggs: Eggs are laid in a nest by hens after mating with roosters. Eggs do not move. They are rolled and turned and kept at an even temperature (incubated) by the hens covering them with their soft breast feathers. Without the tender nurturing of the hen, the embryo inside the egg would die. Eggs do not have eyes, ears, feet, beaks or mouths. Eggs do not eat food or drink water. Once eggs are laid they harden and stay the same size.  Eggs do not grow and mature. After the developed chicks pecks through the egg shell, the shell is cast aside as  afterbirth. The chicks continues their development into chickens.

Observation: Millions and millions of farmers, school children, and scientists have witnessed and documented hens laying eggs. It has been observed and recorded over and over: A hen lays her eggs in a nest; the chicks peck their way out of the eggs;  the hen gathers her chicks together in her bosom to keep them warm and safe from harm. She then begins to teach them how to scratch for worms and other foods, drink water, and socialize(pecking order) with other chicks.

There are no known observations of eggs mating; eggs giving births to chicks, chickens, young  or mature eggs!

There are no known observations of eggs nurturing young eggs or chicks!

There are no known observations of eggs pecking, scratching, eating food, drinking  water, or flocking together!

Conclusion: Using simplistic logic and the undeniable above observations: It appears that the laying of fertilized eggs outside of the womb of the chicken, is a species modification for  the survival of chickens. This means that the chicken embryo could have, in any other adaptation circumstance, developed inside the womb of the hen. The egg is simply an embryonic sack that is developed (laid) outside of the womb. It is a birthing vessel to provide environment and nutrients to the developing embryo. It is not a living growing plant or animal as are all other biologically classified “living things” on Earth.

It is the finding of this inquiry: The seemingly innocent sociological riddle :”Which Came First; The Chicken Or The Egg?”, is a clever  tool; which is  used to propagate a lie.  This riddle’s intended purpose is to seduce the mind into accepting an improbable event; i.e.;  eggs are capable of giving birth to chickens. This is part of the mind game played by “They” (The Historical Enforcers of Yoke)! It is the conditioning of human beings to believe in: ”Royalty, and The Divine Rights of Kings”; “The infallibility of The Church”; “Gods, Devils, and Sin”; Class and Cast; “Race”,  “ghosts, superstitions, myths, magic & miracles, dragons, angels, talking rocks, dead things returning to life, and women giving birth by immaculate conception”.

Also, it is the finding of this inquiry: Chickens came first..... and that chickens “lay” eggs.
