Dear Journal~
Louie here. Sorry for not writing; have been busy, between work, family, church, my writing. Hope you understand.
I am doing well, family is too. No unexpected crises, other than Ronee' having a touch of the stomach flu last week that caused her a trip to the doctor. She's now completely over it, but she's been making sure she takes her vitamins, as well as drinking plenty of fluid, to help stave off any germs from entering her system.
Johnathon's managed to stay well; he's still about the same in relation to his MD. Ever since falling out of his wheelchair a week ago, he's been worried about his approaching mortality; I keep telling him not to worry, as the Lord is not through with him just yet; He wants him around a little while longer.
Poor Johnathon has had a devil of a time with his emotions lately; he's always been a very sensitive young man! I will have to make sure I give him extra comfort, encouragement, support, to let him know I care for him!
Work is, well, work. Some days are deader than a doornail; other days the joint is jumpin'. Like yesterday. We had about ten people come in as a result of a five car pile-up on I-65. Nobody was seriously injured, thank God, but they all came in at once, and it was like, "AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!" LOL
I am happy to tell you the lady with malaria is recovered and has since been released from the hospital. Hopefully she will continue to do well. We got another lady admitted last night to our neuro floor; she is having tests for unexplained weakness, blurred vision, speech problems. Hopefully it is nothing serious and if it is, it can be treated, controlled.
The lady in question is visiting from Norway; her name is Ingrid Schoenfeldter. She is very pretty: tall, elegant, with short, grey-blonde hair, piercing ice-blue eyes, and a pleasant personality. I will have to say a prayer for her, pray she makes it through this uncertain time in her life!
I am happy to say that gas prices have been falling steadily for the past month; at the gas station where we get our fuel, gas prices have gone from nearly $4.00 down to under $3.30 a gallon. Not much of a drop, but definitely noticeable, especially when we go to pay for it. We have a little more money in our pockets. Very encouraging to see.
Now if grocery prices could follow suit, or see the end of the financial crisis our country is currently in, I'd be a whole lot happier!
I will be glad when this election is over. The two main candidates for president are slinging attacks at one another or at their vice presidential choices, and it's all gotten the American public confused now more than ever. I am not voting for Obama. Maybe McCain isn't the best guy for the job, but would much rather have HIM than office than Obama; there's just something about Barack Obama that gives me the willies! I don't trust him; I never have, never will!
It's really sickening how they are behaving. They are supposed to be two grown men trying to win our votes; if you ask me, they're acting worse than my children on a bad day!! It's beyond rediculous; it's absolutely pathetic!!
My children are worried if they are going to end up having any money or if we will be able to continue paying our bills because of the financial crisis we're in. It's really heartbreaking; our kids need to worry about being kids instead of trying to solve our financial difficulties or worrying about whether they'll be able to save the world's animals or neediest citizens!!
That's my children for you. They have had uncertain beginnings in life; yet they've turned into wonderfully caring, compassionate, sensitive young men and women who only want to make the world a better place, not only for themselves, but for others. It shows we've done our job right as parents, and we couldn't be prouder of them than we are right now!
Speaking of children, I just got our twin boys, Ian and Isaiah, back down for the night. They woke me up at 1:30 this morning (it's just now after four) needing a diaper change as well as a good feeding. They are now lying in their cribs, little bellies full, and sporting nice, clean, comfortable diapers, and nodding off back into dreamland; it's really cute to watch them as they lie there in their crib.
Bill is awake, looking at me as I type. He wants me to come back to bed. I tell him I can't; I have to be at work at six, which is a little less than two hours from now. If I go back to sleep, I run the risk of being late to work. I've already overslept twice in the past week; I don't need the bosses getting mad at me again!!
Thankfully, the children are slumbering in their beds. I just checked on them all after taking care of the babies; they look like sleeping angels. It's hard to believe how innocent they look when during the day they can be holy terrors! LOL
Yesterday, Roberto got into trouble at school for hitting a kid over the head with his crutches after the kid called him a nasty name. He had to go to detention for the rest of the day until he could learn how to behave. The school called to tell me the news; I was not happy. I have taught Roberto better than that; he knows better than to act like a two-year-old! He's sixteen; he needs to act closer to his age instead of like a little spoiled brat!
Roberto got grounded: he could not watch his favorite show on television ("Arthur"; he also loves "Clifford The Big Red Dog") or have ice cream for dessert. He also had to go to bed early because he cussed us out after we grounded him.
Life with Roberto is never dull!! *sigggghhhh*
Jodie had another choking episode yesterday; she choked on her saliva, and her face, lips turned blue. Scared us slap stupid; however, once we suctioned her throat and did chest therapy on her, she was fine. She didn't have to go to the E.R., but we made her rest as a precaution. I hate it whenever she chokes; it's nearly as bad as when she has one of her seizures!
Once we handed her her teddy bear and showered her with extra hugs and kisses, only then did Jodie settle down. She is such a sweet young lady; we just love her to pieces!
Well, I am going to take a shower, wash my hair, get ready for work, make myself something to eat/drink before I shove on out the door. I will write in here another day; until then, this is Louie saying sayonara for now! God bless you and have a good day!
~Love, your friend, Louie May. :)
