buckskin
fringe shirted,
protected of the
hornet's nest, The
Sundance Wives ride
West, A.J. turns the page,
old maps to rescue innocence,
relocate the children, we follow
the wagon wheel tracks,

where
the old
scout will
spend his
last days, he
leads The Sundance
Wives to the frontier
orphans living in shabby
tents near the bee hives,
honey drips golden survival,
cocked silver triggers on the
orphans guns, born in a century
of hostility, their folks in their
graves, The Sundance Wives
announce their arrival, Pony Girl
blows the flute, the orphans faces
painted with soot,

so grown
up for their
age, the orphans
use the sawdust-filled
burlap bag on a willow
stick for their trust gauge,
blow wind, blow, friend or foe
vane, Westward they go, while
others throw their dignity in the
wind and hide behind cowardice,
turn the page,

Blaze threw
the saddlebag
of money to the
orphans, "finance
your education, God
found it washed upon a
sandbar on Cherokee Nation,"
The Sundance Wives left the
orphans at Chalk Creek Gulch
cabin, half a cord of firewood,
scraped venison hides, "Publish
our mineral guides, be friends with
all children, Reservation, Red, White,
Black and Brown,"

whore cast
her wanton
eyes upon Sage,
saloon whiskey
[K]lit-hardening,
"My wives take care
of my need, pillowcases
embroidered with Blue onion
motif, autographed sheets in
gold leaf, The Sundance Wives
corner the gold market, assaying
process hot sex leaches at the
Palace Hotel in 1890's Cripple
Creek," Blaze tossed the whore a
Morgan Silver Dollar in her lap for
asking, "she's passing, w
e rescue
you, The Sundance Wives send you
to be mother to the orphans," A.J.
gave the whore a map,

orphans
bringing in
the mineral
guides to the
printing press,
all in a day's ride,
The Sundance Wives
follow the morning sun
which their legend is woven,
beware of hooves cloven, hoof
of Satan, evil practice and intention,
"teach your daughters the wisdom of
these Four - pray for your daughters
souls the way to authentication"...

and it is the life reins of these leathers we harness
stirrups, straps, ropes & eagles eyes
The soul a convoy of authenticities traveling
A unison of understanding values of worth
Binding within the group as “The Sundance Wives”
A life circle of emotional wealth’s to pass on the lineage
Mending & building bridges within these ancestries
Sharing & giving worthy bounties & burning those
Vile passages of preaching heathens wearing deceptions
gettin his own sermons with the indiscriminate truths
…orphan…striking actually
I can so relate

And the orphans now have a mother, if the whore can be trusted. I leaver it to Sage to sense a good woman underneath the wanton eyes of the whore. So, we leave the orphans in good stead, thank the Lord and the Sundance Wives . . .
