For as long as Maria can remember she always wanted a daddy. She would day dream of a dad that would laugh and play with her. He would listen and understand and would even spoil and discipline her when she needed it.
Maria learned very quickly that the man she thought was her dad could not seem to stay on the pedal stool marked daddy. Maria could not trust him to stand for very long on the pedal stool, there always seemed to be something that made him fall off. This was very fustrating and disappointing. So much so that as Maria grew up, she tried to place other men on her "daddy" pedal stool, but they didn't fit and kept falling off. This happened so much that Maria grew hard and decided that she wasn't meant to have a "Daddy".
Until one day......Maria met this man named Jesus. Now, Jesus as it turns out is her brother. Maria is so excited to meet him, yet she is scared, is he going to try and get on the pedal stool? If he does is he going to fall off? Jesus tell Maria that her pedal stoll isn't for anyone else but her daddy. So Maria starts to tell Jesus all about her daddy and all the other men that have tried to stand on the pedal stool and let her down. As she is telling him this Jesus interrupts her and tells her, "I know we aren't talking about the same Daddy". Your going to like Our Daddy and he will fit and stay on your pedal stool. If fact our Daddy God told me to come down here and find you and get you at all cost, that is how much He loves you. Jesus was so excited to tell her about their Dad that his whole being lit up as he talked....This is what he told her.
Our Daddy loves us so much that He know everything about you. He knew you before you where placed in your momma's womb. He has great plans for our future, plans to prosper us and not harm us. Daddy God pays so much attention to us and the details of our lives that He collects all our tears and knows how many hairs we have on our head, even after the second we stop brushing. Daddy God knows our smiles and our hurts. He rejoices with us when we laugh and cry, He holds us when we hurt. He is our greatest physician and He loveingly heals our scars.
Daddy God wants to always make sure we feel safe and protected. He will run and meet us or look for us when we are lost. He even cares about our character and when we get out of line, He gently and lovingly disciplines us. He sent us His Holy Spirit as a gift to us, to help guide us and comfort us in times of need.
Our Daddy owns so many cattle that we would be unable to count them all. He clothes the flowers and makes sure the birds have a place to nest so why would't He take care of you? Dad is always ready to listen to us talk and there is never a time limit with Him. He waits on the pedal stool with open arms.
Today Maria is accepting her Daddy God and is testing to make sure He isn't going to fall of that peadal stool. And you know He hasn't let her down at all.
