Sound asleep newlyweds, Bruce and Brenea’ Lancaster, are suddenly awakened from a perfect slumber when they hear a series of bangs and crashes coming from the downstairs of their home.
“What was that?” Bruce asked, rubbing his eyes, running a hand through his tousled hair. “I don’t know!” Brenea’ said, bringing the covers up to her chest. “But it sounds like it’s coming from the kitchen.”
Bruce, a firefighter with male calendar-model looks and physique to match, loads his gun and tells his new bride to “Stay put, and lock the door behind me. If I’m not back up in five minutes, call the police” and ventures off to investigate the mysterious goings on below, as his strong-willed wife follows him out into the hallway; praying for his safety.
When Bruce reaches the kitchen, shots are fired, curses are yelled and madness and mayhem are afoot when he encounters - what is yet to become - his worst nightmare.
When the bandit escapes, unharmed, through the opened backdoor, the couple thinks their troubles are over, but they’re not; they’re only just beginning.
After Bruce safely tucks his hysterical wife into a motel across town, he enlists the aide of his nearly, identical twin cousin; a cop, Jack Lancaster, along with their, old as dirt, Uncle Randy and his trusted ‘coon dog, Bessie, to help him rid the cunning prowler from his honeymoon cottage.
