I had just given my WINGS seminar sponsored by FabulousFlying and was back in the Florida Air Museum when it got very dark outside. It then started raining hard and people were darting into the museum totally soaked to the bone. Hail started hitting the metal roof from which many airplanes were suspended. Then it started leaking.... people moved away from the middle in fear the roof was coming down. Looking outside the glass doors the view was that of being in a washing machine... no up, down or sideways rain... just circular. Then the wind came up loud. The lights went out and ten minutes later it got quiet and the rain lessened. We were prohibited from going out because of power lines down and a tornado warning that was still live for another line that was coming through. Two hours later we were allowed to leave and I walked in the rain through the mud to see the horrible damage to airplanes, tents and the poor trees...not to mention all the porta potties that were rolled over. It was discovered that an F1 tornado hit about 100 yards from the museum and then hopped around. Straight line winds were clocked at 95 knots. Sun \'n Fun was renamed Rain n\' Pain. -Nina Anderson
