Random Musings of an Old Man

Shortly after Thanksgiving, usually the following weekend, begins the seemingly endless municipal parades. It is as though every small town, medium sized town and big town, has to have a parade. We have to show our holiday pride, our holiday spirit. WAIT….That’s supposed to be our Christmas Pride and Christmas Spirit, is it not? A parade is suppose to celebrate something, or to honor some thing. That’s why we have a Veteran’s Day Parade, a Fourth of July Parade, or a Homecoming Parade, to celebrate or honor something. Holiday, according to Merriam-Webster, is a Holy day, a day the average person doesn’t have to work, in England it’s a vacation, a time of exemption, or relief. Why do we have a holiday parade? We no longer have a Christmas Parade, or an Easter Parade because it is not “politically correct.”  I will try to stay calm, and say this in a way as to not hurt feelings, but…I DON”T GIVE A BIG FAT RAT”S BUTT ABOUT POLITICAL CORRECTNESS. There! I said it. for pete’s sake people, this is America. The land of the free, the home of the brave, the land of God, guts and glory…AMERICA! You are welcome here, but if you don’t like it , GO HOME. This is not a land of Mexican-Americans, Italian-Americans, German-Americans, Oriental-Americans, or African Americans, This is a land of Americans. We are born free. American Patriots will support and defend this land to the last breath of the last Patriot fighter. The World discovered in the 1940’s what happens when you wake a sleeping giant.  Well, I have news for the world, the giant is still here, and I think it’s about time we get rid of these panty-waist so-called leaders we have. I think it’ time America flexes her muscles once again. America and America’s leaders bow to no one, except Almighty God. This country was founded with God as the head and IN GOD WE TRUST.

Now, can we please have a Christmas Parade?
