     Smoke alarm goes on and I got so scared because I was all alone. I thought it was a fire in my building.

 My friend and I were going on vacation early on a Monday morning. So that 

Sunday we decided not to go out. I had packed my suitcase and was

setting  the alarm clock and decided to call my sister. I'm on the phone

talking and all of a sudden there was this very loud ringing noise. It kept

getting louder and louder. I was so  rattled. My brother-in-law heard it

through the phone. He screaming at me, get out of there, open the windows

it must be cabon monoxide. Call the Firre Department. Now a large crowd

was gathering in the lobby. The ringing was everywhere. About eight

firemen come all dressed in their gear and see I'm not smoking or cooking.

All of a sudden one walks away and the ringing stops, dead silence.

He walked over to me and said "madamn did you know that was your alarm

clock. "I wanted to crawl under the kitchen table and hide. I had set the alarm

for pm instead of am and made it for as loud as it could go.
