The cemetary was crawling with critters that refused to leave the
mossy soil infested with black widow spiders, rats, and dead people
that still rattled in their makeshift coffin sheds. Tap tap crunch crick
cwack! A loud thunder cracked then split the bony tree in half and fell
on the black marble headstone. "John Derek Juvian, Born 1942 Died
in 1972 . RIP said the small gold letters that had fallen away and rusted
with time. So many years had passed since that fatal day when he was
hung for treason by the warlock hunters of Saskatoon. "He waited
for his rise again should she pass this way again? mayhaps?
He was talking about the only woman who could conjure him up again.
The one and only infamous witch Gina Farina. She was from the the West side
of town. Late at night while the folks slept, she would steal into the
caboose nestled by the railroad track and concoct her magic. Many a run away
kid lost their lives passing through that side of town . Never to be seen
or heard of again. John Derek on the other hand she chose to spare. She decided not to kill him, why?
Cuz he was born with wicked bones. She had found a perfect accomplice
and together they collected bones that chilled and souped real well.
That is until that fatal day when he failed to shut the book of spells and
the light travelled to the Sheriffs stake out hideaway, "Busted and
tied to a saronged white padded cel , he awaited his verdict and his
final doom. He was sadly pegged for death"
On October 31st each year, the bells of St. Andrew toll, and his voice
can still be heard in the caboose, "OOOOHHHHH Gina Farina, HHHELLLP
MMEEEEE! Tis' my most fervant prayer dear reader that you never cross
the traintracks alone in the dark, nor make an overnight stay. Stay away
from the west side of town, and never ever visit Saskatoon.

Long ago my girlfriend was from Saskatoon. And come to think of it, she was a bit scary and certainly looked like something that maybe came out of the west side. ;-)
So I guess I will never go back there looking for her.
