I always work at least an hour of overtime in the morning and usually never

have ti use the bathroom.  But this day was different I always come in at 7am

because I start at 8:00.  At 9:00 The restof the employees start and run to the

bathroom. So many came in and left except for Edna a sweet chinese young

girl that laugh at everything.  We worked in a beautiful Landmark Building in

New York.  Edna had such a great personallity amd we had fun together. 

She was ready to  leave while I was washing my my hands. :Mary Ann" she

shouts the door won't open.  We both got nervous and started yelling for

help..  The big boss comes and says ' they are trying to work on it. Because

it is a Landmark Building they are not allowed to touch a screw. Please be

calm and wait."  Edna was enjoying herself while I was a nervous wreck.

It was now 11:00 and i was getting cranky, dying for a cup of coffee and

hungry. Finally they back to the door and my boss has news that almost

made me faint. "Mary Ann They can't fix it so we have to call the fire

department and they will send up a barrel ladder. You both can climb in

and that is how they will take you down.: Edna was enjoing all this she

thought it was so exciting and I was ready to faint.  "I started yelling I am 

afrais of height, I can't  do this .  Now I crying like a baby and couldn't stop

I was shacking and Edna couldn't wait for the fire department.  We were

only on the second floor  but my fear overwelled me.  The fire department

came and at the same time the door opened.  I was so relieved and Edna

was disappointed.  Just imange me on the TV news screaming and Edna 

laughing Holly Molly. " It was now 12:00 amd I just said I going to lunch

now.  I love my job."
